The collection

Four research instruments over public USPTO and SEC records, connected to Claude and to anything else that speaks the protocol.

Each one reads a public record and hands it back with the source attached. The labels below say the same four things about each instrument: what it reads, what it answers, what it will not do, and what it costs.

The working bench. Everything every instrument here reads is public information: what issuers filed with the Commission, the Office's own file wrappers, the Board's papers and the Office's petition decisions, and the retrieval corpus around the MPEP, which carries the manual itself, the case law behind it, USPTO memoranda and examiner guidance, the Federal Register, and Title 35 of the United States Code. The government documents in that list are works of the United States Government and are in the public domain within the United States under 17 U.S.C. § 105. Court opinions are public record. International users: copyright status may vary by jurisdiction.

I EDGAR Intelligence

Reads
SEC filings for a tracked corpus of issuers, the XBRL facts behind the numbers, Section 16 forms, institutional holdings and stake disclosures.
Answers
What an issuer disclosed, what changed between two versions of the same document, who was buying or selling, and who holds it now, each answer scoped to an issuer and linked to the filing it came from.
Will not
Price a stock or give investment advice. Take a number out of narrative text when the filing reports it as structured data.
Terms
$39/month, or $390/year (2 months free). 7-day free trial.

The USPTO suite: seven servers, three tiers

  • USPTO Free, $0/month
  • USPTO Research Bundle, $29/month
  • USPTO Full Bundle, $89/month
  • II.1 USPTO Free

    USPTO Patent Search

The front door, case II. Every grant from 1976 and every published application from 2001, searched four ways, and every result names the call on one of the six servers that follow.

  • II.2 USPTO Research Bundle

    MPEP retrieval

The manual, the examination guidance, the Federal Register notices and the case law, searched by term and by meaning at once, stratified by legal weight, and answerable from a firm's own embedding endpoint.

  • II.3 USPTO Research Bundle

    MPEP Hypergraph

The dated layer. Prosecution facts with more than two ends, and a register of framework shifts that says which rule was in force on the day the question is about, and what has displaced it since.

  • II.4 USPTO Full Bundle

    Patent File Wrapper

The prosecution history. Office action text in a single call, the triage that says which actions carry which rejections, continuity as a graph, and patent term adjustment with its arithmetic shown.

  • II.5 USPTO Full Bundle

    Patent Trial and Appeal Board

Trials, appeals and interferences in one index, party matching that respects sides, and the Board's own papers from petition through final written decision.

  • II.6 USPTO Full Bundle

    Final Petition Decisions

The Office's petition rulings, searchable by decision type, art unit and date, served verbatim, with an empty result reported as a genuine zero rather than as an error.

  • II.7 USPTO Full Bundle

    USPTO Citations

Two indexes of the same examiner's citations: the raw lists off Forms 892 and 1449 with the statutory basis, and the enriched index with the claim mapping and the passage the examiner pointed to, joined on the application number.

Overhead view of three index cards fanned over a stack of photocopies on dark linen, one card tabbed in green.

II USPTO Patent Search

Reads
Every US patent grant from 1976 and every published US application from 2001, in place: by field code, by meaning, by exact words, and by the theme a subject falls in.
Answers
What the prior art is, what the neighbourhood around a subject claims, what a claim says as issued, and which patent, application and publication numbers are the same document.
Will not
Tell you what became of a claim after it issued, or read the examiner's argument. Those are in case IV, and every result names the call.
Terms
$0/month, free. 150 calls a calendar month; USPTO Research Bundle and USPTO Full Bundle lift the cap.

III USPTO Research Bundle

Reads
The patent search in case II with its monthly cap lifted and the browser search page, the manual with the guidance and case law around it, and the dated register of framework shifts over all of it.
Answers
What the manual says, which passage governs and which one merely resembles the question, and which rule was in force on the date that matters.
Will not
Open the file wrapper, the Board's docket, the petitions or the examiner's citations. Those are in case IV.
Terms
$29/month, or $290/year (2 months free). 7-day free trial.

IV USPTO Full Bundle

Reads
Everything in case III, and the live record: the file wrapper, the Board's docket, the Office's petitions and the examiner's citations from both indexes.
Answers
What the examiner said and why, what was cited and against which claim, what the Board did, and what was petitioned and how it came out.
Will not
Compute an expiration date or tell you which claims survived a trial. Both answers are in documents it hands you instead.
Terms
$89/month, or $890/year (2 months free). 7-day free trial.

EDGAR Intelligence. Two versions of the same document, compared section by section, with both filings linked.

EDGAR Intelligence. Section 16 transactions around a date, and institutional holdings by issuer, each scoped and attributed.

USPTO Full Bundle. Through the Patent File Wrapper: the text of the action, or one section of it, in a single call.

USPTO Research Bundle. Through the Hypergraph: the date is required, and the answer separates what was in force then from what has displaced it since.

USPTO Full Bundle. Through the PTAB lane: trials, appeals and interferences in one index, and the decision itself to read.

USPTO Full Bundle. Through the Citations lane: the enriched record carries the passage location and the claim a reference was cited against; the raw lists carry the statutory basis.

USPTO Patent Search. Three lanes fused by rank, a priority-date cutoff, the theme the subject falls in, and no USPTO API call.
